Service Description

My name is Melaney Wolf and I'm the founder of Integrated Yoga Healing. This yogic process, as well as this specific course, were born out of my own experience healing from 3 (that's right, 3!!) different emotionally abusive relationships. Needing to heal and help others guided me toward my yoga teacher training, after which yoga asana (physical yoga class), pranayama (intentional breathing), meditation, mindfulness, journaling, and some serious self-reflection all worked together to help me understand what happened, release the extreme pain and hurt, and to discover the original root cause of why I even ended up being emotionally abused to begin with. I bring this course to you from my own experience, knowledge, and expertise in hopes that it can also help you take your power back. Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness are all proven to reduce the effects of trauma on our minds, bodies, and souls. Emotional abuse can cause C-PTSD (Complex PTSD); the kind that's created over a longer period of repetitive traumatic events. Trauma lives in the nervous system, meaning that only talking about our experience does not help to resolve the "imprint" we carry with us all day, every day. Once we are able to move out of the "fight or flight" stage we can get stuck in after trauma, only then can we access the root cause (hint: it's not only the abuser!), rebuild our self-worth, and learn to trust ourselves and our choices again. My goal is to guide you through a purposefully curated series of sessions to help release the experience and NEVER END UP IN IT AGAIN!! Balancing our nervous system and the original cause of our vulnerability to the emotional abuse is how we begin to heal from it for good! This 6-week series will consist of 2-hour sessions once a week (every Saturday at 3:00 PM EST) that each include discussion, guided journaling, pranayama (breathing), mindfulness, yoga asana class, and meditation. During these specifically curated sessions, we'll practice radical acceptance, learn about trauma-bonding, release self-blame, explore shadow work, release emotional blockages, learn to rebuild self-trust, and begin the process of taking our power back. Weekly class recordings will be available as well as a follow-up worksheets to help process the changes and a private Facebook group community to share experiences, ask questions, vent and release, or simply just to connect with others. **Financial assistance or payment plans available for those in need!**
